The challenge
Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Company (MSETCL), one of the largest state transmission utilities in India, wanted high quality maintenance painting and protective coating at several sites. The sites see monsoon rain alternating with dry seasons. Near the shore, high humidity and the diffusion of carbon dioxide and chlorides raise durability concerns.
The DCP solution
DCP proposed Repcoat FF, a decorative, waterproof, acrylic based anti-carbonation coating. It combines a good finish with durability, anti-carbonation and waterproofing in one product. The client chose it over offers from large paint manufacturers.

How it was applied
One primer coat was applied, followed by two thick coats of Repcoat FF, to a total dry film thickness of 150 to 200 microns. Supply ran from September 2011 to October 2012.
The result
The client chose Repcoat FF for these sites and for future projects.
