The challenge
Pothys changed the interior layout of its building in T. Nagar, Chennai, adding a staircase, lifts and other facilities. These added dead load on the structure, so the existing columns and beams had to be strengthened to carry more load.
The DCP solution
The DCP India technical team recommended Cempatch HM, a non-shrink, high strength micro-concrete reaching 65 MPa at 28 days, to encase the columns and beams. Keygrout, a high strength polyester grout, anchored the new reinforcement. Quickmast 105, a low viscosity epoxy injection resin, filled the cracks.
