The challenge
Riverview Apartments is a large housing scheme launched in 2008 in two phases, with more than 3,000 flats. The client wanted one full range supplier whose products were all compatible with each other, to protect the integrity of the structure at an efficient cost without losing quality. The site is near the bank of the Gomti river, so the anchor grout had to resist moist conditions.
The DCP solution
Formcoat S100 was used as the formwork release agent, to protect the formwork and improve the concrete surface finish. Supaflo Special JP, an SNF high range water reducer, and Hyperplast PC711, a polycarboxylate hyperplasticiser, improved concrete cohesion and helped the concrete flow through congested reinforcement. Keygrout, a high strength, fast curing polyester grout, anchored the starters, dowels and bars. Flexseal GA700, a general purpose acrylic sealant, sealed pane and frame joints. Flo-Grout 40 and Quickmast 108 were also supplied.
DCP products used
How it was applied
Formcoat S100 was applied to the formwork at about 50 m² per litre. Supaflo Special JP was dosed at 1.1% by weight of cement and Hyperplast PC711 at 0.6% by weight of cement, in M35 grade concrete with 400 kg of cement per m³. Supply ran from January 2011 to 2013.
The result
DCP supplied the full package on time, with all products compatible with each other, at an efficient cost and without loss of quality.
