The challenge
RMZ Galleria houses offices, a shopping mall of over 90,000 m², an entertainment complex and serviced residences. The project needed several concrete grades, cast in aluminium formwork. With so many mixes, the main risk was confusion on site. DCP was asked to reduce the number of admixtures needed without raising project costs.
The DCP solution
The DCP technical team developed a custom admixture, Supaflo Special MR353, a sodium naphthalene sulphonate formaldehyde condensate (SNF) admixture, for all the concrete mix designs on the project.
DCP products used
How it was applied
One grade of admixture was supplied for all mixes. Supply started in 2012 with 120 MT and continued to 2013.
The result
Using one admixture grade for all mixes reduced the estimated overall cost.
